Yes, you can use the same PC for typing. It is more useful to change the Regional and Language options in Control Panel to UK English and keyboard to UK English.
You would not have to check every word if it is compatible with UK English
like travelled, mucous, oesophagus etc. |

One way of doing is to create 2 user ids. Log in one to English version and the other to US. I never tried this but it may work.
Stedman's is the American version. So, some spellings might be different. MS Word has to be configured to recognize any difference in spelling (you get those red squiggly lines) and correct them. |
