Jasbiometrix
I worked for a company called Jasbiometrix From December 2006 to August 2007.

They paid me until June every month. I was working as a QA when I quit. The files were very shabbily done during July month by the MTs and I voiced against it as I had almost re-transcribe them and the pay was just 50 ps and I found it very time consuming and less rewarding.

The only complaint I got from them when I was MT/QA was during this tenure that I once used old reports and overtyped on them and hence there was an error in the date of service. I had apologized for that and had asked them to put me back on 100% proofing as I knew it was my mistake. But they told me not to repeat the error and I was retained as direct upload MT. There have been times when they have praised me for my work and apart from this one complaint, I have done no mistakes.

The last date of my work with them was July 31st. I am yet to be paid the July payment which accounts to 25000 lines of proofing.

And the payment not yet done. this was the last chat I had. Even before this, he never used to pick the calls form my mobile. When I tried his number from my husband’s mobile, he picked it but cut the line when he realized it was me.

As for Aman, he has never been online after September 28th. He promised that pay will be done on October 1st and vanished.

I have a friend in Calcutta whose friend works in Jasbio. He says Jasbiometrix recruits people who are rejected by other companies and pays them peanuts and takes the life out of QA to make the report perfect. So there is no problem with in-house MTs, they still get their salary.

And the CEO of this company Mr. Sudeep says he himself has an experience of 11 years in MT field and even he was duped by some people.

So looks like he wants to do the same to me. Just like how ragging happens in colleges.

Anyways, the good outcome out of this trash is that I have learnt that if I have quality, I need not work for companies like this who make u work but cant pay. There are still companies and people who respect their employees.

I know I wont gain anything by this post, but I just wanted to share this. Instead of saying he cant pay, he has made go through this trauma for 5 months. And I still hope that I will get paid.

Most people dont want others to know that they've been cheated, and there lies the problem. The more you are silent, the more such online crimes will be on the rise. you have to fight for your rights as a human.

there is also a human rights commission to cater to the needs of the downtrodden.

Those of you who have been cheated online by counterfeit MT companies can file a complaint in the CyberCell, Mumbai.

Basically, not paying an MT/ME after extracting work from him/her amounts to cybercrime.

You can appeal to the CyberCell at Mumbai with whatever details you have about the company, IP addresses etc.
