Hi all,
This forum is a good platform for all of us to come together. Some thing funny is happening. I see a few individuals/companies offering their services to do transcription. I see the same people offering hmts/vendors work. We get one clear message here. These people take jobs from real outsourcers and pass on the work to others, taking their cut.
This ultimately leads to lowering of rates for the people who do the real job of transcribing. _________________ www.transonica.com |

| And some people make other people work but not pay them in return. And some people, are just too stupid to work for that people who in the end won't pay them. Some people, I mean, do I have to point them out? I know some people who are ruining the industry and that I can call them scammers because they made me work, and do not pay until now. Do you want to know who they are? Who those Non-God-fearing people who keep saying promises that they keep braking. Maybe, and I hope that there are also some people who can help me track these guys who really sucks. They suck because they suck my time by making me work and not knowing that from the very start, they do not intend to pay. If anyone there can help me, I would totally appreciate it. |

Sir (Transonica),
I accept what you said, but the thing is in this matter two dimensions are there. Some small MTs cannot approach directly to big players because of multiple specialities or some other thing, but they are taking from middle players because middle player is giving few dictators which small MT can manage. _________________ To handle yourself, use your head, to handle others, use your heart

Hi Transonica:
Yes, you are exactly right....the thing is that the people who take work from direct clients are not bothered about who sweats for it. We need money...that's the only thing that matters and also real money without sweating much....Mostly such people outsource work to big contractors who take work in bulk say 400 or 500 files per day and these contractors further down fill in some employees and run as a company and they take their cut by just simply sitting in their chairs. What a funny?
And these middle people who take work from direct clients gets all accolades as if they have sweated for it. |

Those of you who have been cheated online by counterfeit MT companies can file a complaint in the CyberCell, Mumbai.
Cyber Crime Investigation cell,
Annex III, 1st floor, Office of the Commissioner of Police,
D.N.Road,
Mumbai - 400001
http://www.cybercellmumbai.com
Basically, not paying an MT/ME after extracting work from him/her amounts to cybercrime.
You can appeal to the CyberCell at Mumbai with whatever details you have about the company, IP addresses etc. |

Fellow forum members may remember the fraud created by Sohonet, Bangalore/Hyderabad in getting innocent people all over India to buying their kits for Rs. 15,000 to transcribe their OCR files on legal acts and rules. The matter was reported to Cyber Crime Investigation cell, Mumbai. Nothing came out of it. Those who were cheated all over India never got their money back. For the fact, this guy who ran Sohonet floated another cheat company and continues to do the same business.
There are too many loopholes in our legal system to prosecute.
It is better to be associated with reputable MT groups or forums like this one who can suggest authentic contacts to aspiring MTs. Venugopalarao may have initially set out to do this through http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/askribeindia/, but somewhere down the line he has lost his objective and is now promoting dubious online data entry work, filling surveys, etc. that have nothing to do with medical transcription. As all posts goes through him being the moderator he renegades on posts remotely critical of him or of an earlier post , and he does not allow any post to be closed or edited. To save the reputation of the MT industry, such groups and forums must delete postings from MT work providers with warnings to their members if such MT providers are found to be frauds or poor paymasters or non MT middlemen. At http://www.pcworkathome.in there is a sperate section/thread on fraudsters.
I sure would like to know more of such reputable MT groups. |
