Hi,
I am a doctor with MT experience during my college days for 2years.I am looking for some part time HBT as a proofreader.Can I now how much we can earn from the HBT approx for a month.

Hi Chandu,
If you are a doctor, you should concentrate more on developing your practice or preparing for your PG entrance test. HBT is not for you. You can make in a day what an MT makes in the whole month.

You can do QC work near to your home in any office and earn around 25000 rupees apart from your regular practice rather than going for HBT. You can do HBE for big companies instead of HBT.

As you are a doctor, you can do work without headphone and find out errors, give good quality.

Dr. Chandu, are you retired or not making much out of your practice? If not, just think for a second that if your bosses come to know that you have another employment, what could happen. You know these things leak out through the Income Tax authorities, etc. when they scrutinize your bank accounts where the earnings from MT work will be going or through your IT returns, etc. or when submitting TDS certificates.

You sure can contribute to the MT profession as a QA as suggested by Venu, but then what will happen if all doctors get into it as a side income to their regular professional income. We poor MTs, for whom this is our livelihood, wilL become EMPTY.
