Fraud in Medical Transcription business. These below people gave the job and on the pay time they disappeared from messenger list. Please be aware of them. Do not work with them. Below list as per Mr. Bidur Bhandari from Nepal. This Bidur personally came and met me in Hyderabad sometime back. He worked for below companies and lost around 60,000 to 80,000 rupees.

There are better genuine companies like Acusis, Focus Infosys, Mediscribe, Heartland which are genuine companies and can give work if you got quality. There wont be any cheating or late payment like that. Go for these companies rather than just going for some unknow companies whom u do not know and cannot trace out.

Those companies might be good in what you said as they might provide one work and also will make payment on time, but that becomes only part of the work.

In order to execute work and work in a company for years, there must be good work environment, good caring attitude, working as a team as a family caring for each other, providing good salary, and always showing good attitude towards MTs, editors, and HTs instead of treating them as donkeys and dogs is pretty essential for a company to be successful.

Is there any one company in India which is good in all aspects where an MT or editor will enjoy his/her association with?

Don't know why it is like this, but it is the hard truth. In order to do make the company's business successful and in order to earn more and more money, MTs and editors are made to dance according to the tune of the company is the real truth, which often leads to attrition.

Companies often complain about attrition rate, but do they really think what is the reason for it? If you are really good, I mean in all aspects, why do your employees leave you?

I forgot to mention in my earlier message. Heartland is one of the companies among them. They all of a sudden recruit 100s of guys on a morning and after sometime they expel another 300....In Heartland, more than 95% of the employees are having higher and stiffer targets. Even when they achieve the target in the 8-hour shift, they are not allowed to simply sit on...they are being asked to do more, which has lead to many experienced MTs and editors leaving the company there. The same is with Cbay, Spryance, and so on.

I do not know whether the Heartland is there now because it has been taken up by the Spheris Management now.

Our work culture in a company setting and the company people's behavior towards the MTs and editor or for that matter HTs really needs a push-up in all aspects.

Most of the companies nowadays say that we are good company with good working atmosphere and so on, but when it comes to practice, there is nothing in it. It is very easy to say on things, but put it in practice is what I would recommend. This is all after company earning crores and crores in rupees and the employees or the HTs are not even given a one-third of it remains the truth.

On the website of Acusis there is an income calculator. Via the same I found to my surprise that for HMT they pay just around Re 1.10/line for 98% accuracy and output has to be a minimum 650+ lines/day. I think that is quite low. I wonder what others pay. There is no place in such companies for those who do not have multispecialty skills or those who can provide quality at say 90%. What are QAs and Proofers for if the MT is going to give 98%.

Then again in the forums one comes across vacancies for direct up loaders. What does that mean? Are they looking for home-based MTQAs? Such persons need to provide 100% accuracy with no blanks? How did the MT firms get work when they did not have the capacity to do the work on their own or with the help of simple HMTs?

Dear Gspal:

You do the Acusis work first, then you will know. I am dam sure that you will quit Acusis in case you join, might be the first day itself. In Acusis, most of the dictators are mumbling, more than 80%. They dictate while on the move, perhaps in a car or in the street etc. It is very very difficult even to give 95% on Acusis files.

They expect 98% or even more, that one should not give any headache to their inhouse proofers.
